Theses are the perfect blends for the kitchen maven in your life! My hubby loves them! This combination of listing lists all my blends for making marinades for meats and vegetables.

I decided to list my Herb Blends for cooking in groupings of similar mixes, because there are so many it makes it easier to shop.

** The purchase price includes ONE mix, please make your choice in the drop down menu.**

At the Backyard Patch I craft blends of home-grown herbs to use in cooking and entertaining. Each mix comes in a zip seal pouch for easy storage along with tips, instructions and easy-to-follow recipes for creating herb-flavored delights. Although each was originally crafted to make a particular item, years of experimentation by customers and family has resulted in extra recipes and variations which are included with each mix.

Like all blends from the Backyard Patch we guarantee an 18 to 24 month shelf-life, because we hand-blend only the freshest herbs. All Backyard Patch herbs are raised organically and are chemical and pesticide free.

Although the weights vary each package contains three (3) tablespoons of the blend which in most cases is enough to make two recipes.

You can choose from (they are in alphabetical order):

BBQ Spice - this blend allows you to craft a nice spicy sauce with simple in-the-kitchen ingredients that no one will recognize once you add the spice. Blend this spice mix with ketchup and olive oil for a perfect sauce or mix with citrus juices or vinegar for a marinade or use simply as a rub.

Salt-free Curry Spice Dressing Mix -- For lack of a better name as yet, this salt-free blend, of entirely different spices from our BBQ spice, can still make a marinade or a dressing or even be used as a rub. It is a richly savory and spicy combination.  Contains: onion, basil, marjoram, mustard, paprika, garlic, thyme, celery seed, parsley, curry powder, black pepper.

Patch French Dressing - Combines classic taste in a vinegar and oil recipe so you can create your own flavor-filled French-style vinaigrette.  Good with salads & as a marinade for beef, chicken, pork & shrimp.

Garlic & Herb Combination - My top seller, probably because of the glorious garlic taste and its versatility. Blend it with butter for killer garlic bread. Put it in oil for a toasted bread dip or pizza topping. Use the recipes provided to create a tomato bruschetta or vegetable pasta toss that is good hot or cold.

Italian Dressing/Marinade - One of the first blend I ever created, this mix makes both a salad dressing and a marinade you can use on beef or chicken. As a marinade you bring deep rich flavor to any meat with a marvelous combination of herbs including dill, rosemary, thyme and onion.  Perfect alternative to store-bought mixes, as it contains no preservatives and much less sodium.

Lemon-Sage Marinade - Zesty blend for olive oil that will zip up chicken or salmon with little effort using garlic and sage and just a hint of pepper & sage.

Provincial Marinade (called Fiesta in the drop down) -- Zesty blend for olive oil that will zip up chicken and beef with little effort. Made with a style of Herbs De Provence formulated to make a great seasoning for long cook meats like pot roast as well as grilled meats!

Salt-Free Ruby Dressing Mix - Among our experiments for better tasting salt-free dressings we developed this sweeter dressing that is great on leafy lettuce blends and fruits.  Also wonderful as a pasta toss and superb as a chicken marinade.  Blend has parsley, paprika, basil and thyme with mustard and black pepper and just enough sugar for a sweet flavor.
