Spiced Cider / Mulled Wine Blend
Totally caffeine free, naturally
This blend of dried spices and herbs
is the perfect mix for creating
a spicy hot apple cider.

Spiced Cider Blend – This loose collection of spices and herbs can be placed in a tea ball or cotton bag and used to spice apple cider and wine, or as a simmering spice to scent the air. Add to apple cider or red or white wine for a spiced drink your family and friends will love. Instructions included for making GLOGG. Contains: cinnamon, cloves, allspice, star anise, lemon & orange peel and lemon balm.

The Backyard Patch hand-blends all of its herb and spice mixtures from recipes we crafted ourselves. We pride ourselves on the long shelf-life our herbs have and make not only cider blends like this, but herb flavored teas, cooking blends and seasonings, as well as bath items. The herbs we raise ourselves and all items we use are chemical-free.

There are three other cider/wine spice and herb blends available. You can see them all in our Seasonal Herbs section

A customer gave me this great recipe you can make with this blend -- in addition there is a traditional spiced cider recipe and Glogg recipe that comes with the blend.

Cran-Apple Cider
12 cups apple juice
6 cups cranberry juice
½ cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 pkg. of Backyard Patch Spiced Cider / Mulled Wine Blend

Combine ingredients and simmer on low heat for 30-45 minutes.
