Having trouble grasping the holiday spirit this year? My husband and I hand make our gifts and it was hard to get motivated to make them this year, but we did it. When we delivered them this week people were surprised to receive them. They thought we would just skip this year. That idea was not part of our thinking at all. We had to scale back because we cannot visit some relatives, but we would never stop making our gifts.
If you want to do the same for some of your friends, or just want to give yourself a holiday boost. Try these bath salts scented with the holiday aroma of peppermint. This milk bath will leave your skin silky and the peppermint will help you relax. NOTE: do not use peppermint oil if you are pregnant.
Candy Cane Milk Bath
- 1 cup powdered milk
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 2 tsp dried peppermint
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint oil
Combine items in a jar with a tightly fitting lid and shape to combine. To give as a gift decorate the top of the jar and include a tag with ingredients and instructions for use.
To Use: Mix ½ cup of blend with 2 cups of hot water first before pouring into filled tub. Slip into the bath and soak until the water cools, then towel off and seal the moisture you have regained with a topical lotion.
