This recipe makes a great gift, is perfect to serve at a party, or you can combine them in decorative cloth or paper bags and hang them on the tree to enjoy on Christmas eve.
2 cups nuts (we used walnuts, almonds and cashews)
½ cup raw cane sugar
¼ cup water
1 tsp Cinnful Dessert Blend
1 tsp orange zest (optional)
1 tsp vanilla extract
Put nuts, sugar and water in medium, nonstick pot. On medium heat, start cooking mixture (while stirring constantly) until the water evaporated and the sugar clumps together. Just before sugar clumps together, add the Cinnful Dessert Blend, vanilla (optional orange zest) and a pinch of salt and stir until the coating on the nuts solidifies. Carefully place the coated nuts on parchment and let them cool for about an hour. Place in a decorated jar for a fun DIY gift or enjoy with hot chocolate on a chilly evening!
