Recipes - Meat Seasoning
Here are some recipes you can make that use either our Backyard Patch Meat Seasoning or Grilled Meat Rub Herb Mix
Grandpa’s Meatloaf (serves 4 to 6)
- 1 lb. ground round
- 1/4 lb. ground pork
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs or crumbled corn flakes
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbls. Parsley
- 1 Tbls. minced onion
- 1 Tbls. Backyard Patch Meat Herbal Seasoning OR Backyard Patch Grilled Meat Rub
- Ketchup (optional)
Combine ground meat. Mix dry ingredients together and moisten with milk and egg. Blend mixture into meat with a fork or your hands. Form into loaf shape and place in aluminum foil lined loaf pan. Top with ketchup if desired. Bake at 400 degrees for 50 minutes or until juices run clear.
Baked Feta
- 2 to 6 ounces of feta
- 1 Tbls. Backyard Patch Grilled Meat Rub OR Backyard Patch Meat Seasoning OR Backyard Patch Italian Seasoning Blend
- 2 Tbls. Olive Oil
- fresh cracked pepper
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place the feta on a 12 inch square of foil. Press chosen herb mixture onto sides of feta. Drizzle with olive oil and season with cracked black pepper. Gently fold the sides and ends of foil over cheese to create a parcel. Place on a baking tray and bake 10 to 15 minutes until feta is soft. Drain any excess liquid before serving and serve hot or cold chopped into a salad, with crusty bread, or as part of a cheese platter.
