Each of these salt-free blends can be mixed with either butter (or a butter substitute) or cream cheese. We actually recommend the lower fat Neufchatel cheese as a spread. The completed butter or cream cheese can be placed in ceramic dishes and frozen, rolled into balls for entertaining or just used on your morning bagel.
We make 8 different Butter/Cream Cheese blends and this listing allows you to choose which one you want. Mix and match them.
Boursin Cheese Blend -- This classic French specialty can be used fresh or frozen for later. Using ricotta and / or cottage cheese to craft a great spread that is perfect on toasted bread or crackers, great with a wine and cheese tray; it even makes an alfredo sauce with the recipe included. Made with chives, parsley, marjoram, onion and black pepper.
Butter 'n' Cheese -- My personal favorite mix, I cannot cook without it. A medley of 7 herbs creates a great herbal butter or cream cheese spread. You can sprinkle it on vegetables. Contains: basil, tarragon, chives, marjoram, garlic, parsley & rosemary.
Cilantro Spread - Another of the original trilogy of butter and spread mixtures, this blend contains cilantro for creating a tangy cheese ball or flavored butter. Not too overpowering, it is different from your average cream cheese blend. Contains: cilantro, parsley, thyme and other herbs.
Garlic & Herb Combination - My top seller, because of the glorious garlic taste. Blend it with butter for killer garlic bread; Put in oil for a toasted bread dip or pizza topping; combine with cream cheese or sour cream for a spread or dip; use with vinegar and oil to make garlic dressing. Recipes provided for tomato bruschetta or vegetable pasta toss. Contains: garlic, parsley, basil, paprika, black pepper
Herbal Spread - Another of my early creations, this versatile blend makes a good cream cheese spread and also great herb butter. Thinned with milk it can be used as an herb dip and dry you can add it to vegetables, pasta sauce and soup. Contains: parsley, chives, dill, oregano & thyme.
Herb Cheese Dip - This easy-to-use blend uses ricotta and cottage cheese to make something you can serve as a spread or a dip. You can make it ahead and freeze it too! The flavors go well with both sweet and dry wines, so you can use it at your next wine party! Includes garlic, basil, parsley, chives, marjoram and black pepper.
Horseradish Spread - Blend this with cream cheese for a party cracker spread or make your own cheese log. This mix of horseradish, garlic and other herbs has a deep rich flavor. Great for football parties, holiday entertaining and as a topping on roasts and steaks.
Potato Topper Blend - Blend this mix with olive oil to create oven-roasted magic with a pound of potatoes (recipe included). Or add to butter or sour cream to top your baked or mashed potatoes. Includes thyme, parsley, dill, rosemary, garlic, paprika, and black pepper. Totally salt-free and you won't miss it!
