Victorian Lavender and other Black Teas with Herbs, loose tea
Victorian Lavender and other Black Teas with Herbs, loose tea
I blend specialty teas for organizations and individuals, of which Victorian Lavender Tea is one example.
This special blend of black tea and lavender was my first custom blend, made in the 90s for the Wheaton History Center winter Victorian Tea.
At the Backyard Patch I make tea blends of Black Tea, Green Tea and Herb Only Tea. Each Black Tea blend is a special combination of high quality tea leaves and flavorful herbs. All are hand-crafted blends which infuse black teas with a wonderful combination of flavors only available with fresh dried herbs and spices.
Many of these blends were first crafted by request for Museums, Tea Shops and Women's Club events as a custom tea sold only at the event. They are available here as a special offering and proceeds from items sold are always forwarded to the organization responsible for the original blend. These teas are packaged as 1/2 cup in a zip seal bag.
We have always blended our teas for taste first, crafting blends that bring out the unique flavors of herbs. If you are interested in a custom blend for your organization, please do not hesitate to contact us. Use the conversation Link.
For this listing choose any ONE of following custom blends. Choose your tea from the drop down menu:

Christmas Tidings Tea - This blend of black tea with orange and lemon peel with cinnamon and other spices is based on a recipe from World War II that was created to substitute for coffee. Although it never caught on, the blend if very tasty and perfect for the winter season. It was made to complement a museum exhibit on World War II.
Shamrock Tea - This individual blend of Irish black tea, spearmint, blackberry leaf and rose hips was created especially for the Wheaton History Center, which hosted a yearly Victorian Tea.
